Haldex is maintainable S80

The Haldex unit of your AWD is servicable. The oil and filter inside the box needs to be changed out every 50K miles. Yes, it is easier if you have a lift, but still doable with ramps and or jack stands.

Haldex is used by most car companies so you don't have to go to a Volvo dealer for service.

You are quite right, the S80 is a very nice and comfortable car.
