Problem #2

I'm experiencing occassional rough idle when at stoplights - this doesn't occur every time, but will immediately disappear if I put the car into neutral (and will reappear if putting it back in drive). I remember someone on this board asking a similar question a couple of weeks back, but cannot find the thread.

That was probably me who posted a similar question some time ago. My 2001 V40 started having this problem at ~1300 miles which became more and more frequent by 1800 miles. Finally, it turned uninterrupted, and "check engine" did not go away. Brought car to the dealer, and a very quick and polite service resulted in a spark plug replacement. They said sometimes Volvo gets defected lots of parts like bulbs, spark plugs, etc. No problems since then (+ ~ 1000 miles). And no other problems (I keep my fingers crossed! I like the car very much).
