Here is a little more info. Maybe this will help diagnosis the problem from my earlier post??

The problem seems to happen cold and hot. Although when the car sits for a long time it fires right up.

Changed cap and rotor. Not the problem. As soon as time permits, I will replace the wires and plugs. Last night, in a very dark spot, I checked for arcing in the wires and coil. Wires looked fine (Bougicord) but the coil had white lines along both sides of the coil and it was also making a steady ticking noise. Is that normal?

Also checked the air box thermostat. It seemed to be moving easily. Am about to check the vacuum hose at the FPR.
