You might check out the latest Consumer Reports to help select your tires.
They rate various tire features and suggested pricing.

In the Boston Area, there's Town Fair Tires, that include a front end alignment
with tire purchase. I haven't done business with them yet but will check them
out next time. The alignment, if done right is an important consideration.

If it's a snowy winter, Studded tires, are amazing and generally keep you unstuck. They however are only legal for the winter months here, and also make an annoying buzz that gets worse with speed. Each state has different laws about studded tires.
