Daughter considering a S60

For 2006 the Tbelt is between 105-120K or 10 years (2016). The 5 speed autobox is much better than the 2001-2002.

If it is a Volvo dealer, have them show you the maint history. They can print it off if it was serviced there. If it is not a local trade in, have the car sent through the inspection process, normally a $100 fee but should be free for them. Ask about a very cheap 12 months guarantee, 30-90 days is usually free. It should have a fresh oil change. It is old enough to have antifreeze flushed and brake fluid flushed.

Make sure it is using synthetic motor oil. That keeps the PCV system clean.
