The damping rate for Sport and Heavy duty shocks are the same

The difference between Sport and Heavy Duty Bilsteins is the amount of piston travel. Heavy Duty are generally used with the stock springs. Sport shocks are usually used with Sport/lowering spings. That said, many people use H.D. dampers and lowering springs without issue. The risk of doing this is bottoming out the shock travel on bump and damaging the damper mechanism.
