95 850 ABS pump 850 1995

Over a month ago I had a brake pedal position sensor code and a wheel speed sensor code as well as a few others. I think I had an ABS pump code in there as well. After clearing the codes and driving around a bit, all that came back up was the pedal position sensor and wheel sensor codes. I changed both sensors and cleared both codes again but they keep coming back. The sensor ring seems ok too.
My tech who's at a Volvo only shop since the 70's says it's the ABS pump but I'm not getting any pump codes now. I know my guys know their stuff and I would trust any older model with them more than I would the dealership. They know the tricks to save money and fix things instead of replacing parts and throwing money at it. Unfortunately, their trick to this one is to drive with no ABS.
I think I'm gonna try an ebay pump from any pre 96 with TRACS if I can find a cheap one.
I have an identicle parts car but the ABS light is on on the dash as well and the OBD1 flasher has been removed to replace the one in my current daily driver so I can't pull codes and don't trust using the pump unless I know it's good.
