Consumer Reports doesn't like the 2005. Believe it was the first year for the new body style. You know, first year problems. Personally, I'd only buy a 2006 and up. I was thinking about an S40 or V50 but never test drove one. Got a good deal on a nice 2002 Passat and bought that instead. Friend has a 2011 V50 T5 that she likes. End of my knowledge...:)
