Hi ____?
Did you try the glove test as Robert showed in his video?
My EGR line was plugged with a hard crusty crap that seemed mostly
immune to solvents, and a sharp drill bit was needed to clear it.
The fitting at the intake manifold was plugged as was the EGR control solenoid.
Beware the two little vacuum lines can't be switched that are there or adjacent to the vacuum tree or you get a weird intermittent with the brakes.
I know because it was wrong when I got the car and was a struggle to recognize
the error from the P/O. There's good documents on line to check your vacuum
lines and it's a good idea to be pro-active and replace em all, maybe needing
to visit a dealer to get the right size lines and elbows etc. Make sure the brakes are 100% including flushing old DOT4 for new.
Invest in your old brick and your son will have a safer ride than most of the
cars on the road.
