Some Questions about a 2002 S60 T5 S60 2002

Klaus,

Thank you again for your response. I purchased a “Glass Polishing” kit from NAPA for $11.00. It consists of a series of pads that you attach to a electric drill, which you then use to “polish away” the haze on the glass. This kit is specifically developed for treating glass and not plastic surfaces. I haven’t tried it yet, but will this weekend. These fog lights retail for $152 each at the Volvo dealership. Based upon your comments and advice, even if I am successful in removing the “haze” from the fog lights, the condition will return again in a few months. Even if I purchased new lenses, they too could become “frosted over” in a few years.

As you said, these lights are not crucial to being able to see at night. They attracted my attention for esthetic reasons mostly. If I am successful in removing the haze, and this condition returns again in a few months, I’ll just learn to live with it. I’m still enjoying the ownership of this car very much.

Hugh
