Must replace catalytic converter. What to do? V70-XC70

IMHO - Try the 02 spacer as suggested by Klaus. Personally, if I had burned 2 valves I would do the swap to 91 octane. It is more expensive but you will get better gas mileage so that will mitigate the extra cost somewhat. Older engines often require more octane than newer engines. The 91 octane gas should minimize any tendency for the engine to ping or knock.
