Yes, my 96 850 started doing that right before I got rid of it New Years eve. The freon level is very low and from what I've read here and elsewhere, it's a major expense to repair the leak in the evaporator under the dashboard. I ended up going to the store and buying a can of 134a and recharging the A/C enough for it to work before trading it in on a Subaru Outback. The A/C problem was the last straw for my Volvo.
