Can a 'check engine' light cost $3000? 850 1996

I would just clear the code and ignore it.. if it run strong like you said and not burn alot oil even if it do oil is cheaper than paid $1300 for the repair something just don't add up..

as for the 02 sensor hey if you pass smoge and get 15 mile to the gallon like every on this board what the worried .. but if you want to replace it you can do it yourself .. it is easy as hell just jack car up and look under you can see the whole thing...

3. Turbo leak oil do you mean the turbo oring ? easy fix...

All turbo leak shit... hey but if you want to throw away $1300 than dealer more than happy to take your money....

Run the sucker. change the oil save the $$$$$$$$$$

this me it is crazy just to throw big $$$$$$$ into these car... next thing you know the check engine light will come back on again. than what ???? give them another $1300 ???

My check engien light on all the time... I have a 1994 850 Turbo with 120,000 on run like new ... I get many code I clear 99% it won't come back..

Good luck.. Only fix thing that realy need to be fix unless you are on of those car nut the more you spend the better you feel ..
