Repainting my wagon 850 1997

You didn't say that he went through the paint with the scraper. If he did then you are off to the painter, if he didn't then i would buy a can of polishing compound and see what i could do. Maybe get a detail shop to try and polish it out. A can of compound can't cost more than a few bucks. I'm sure you could offer a detail shop $20 to try with the promise that if it comes out then they get to do the whole car ($150-200).

What do you have to lose? You are already thinking of taking it to get painted. You might as well give it a try.
