Good point. Side air bags are optional on 95 and the door
jam will indicate if they are present. They do not require
battery power to fire since they are self-contained and use
a gas charge to inflate the bag (an explosive is not used).
The trigger is in the seat itself so they are independent of
front airbags, too.
