Lifter Tapping S70 1999

Just watch your temp gauge to make sure you don't over heat, the high RPM is good for the valves, it keeps them rotating and all, but you really shouldn't have to do that, it's not normal. If your Tech is a Dealer Tech, there are about 7 "O" rings that get replaced when dropping the oil pan and some of them are not listed on the VADIS parts list, the local Field Technical Specialist (FTS) should be able to help out with the part numbers for the Tech. If your Tech is an Independent they may not know about all the "O" rings in there, Let me know and I could get you the part numbers. Sometimes an oil pressure test will show low oil pressure and be a big clue, however I have taken oil pressure readings that were fine on a ticking engine and after replacing the "O" ring and letting the oil warmed up the ticking has not returned. This is for the 1999> with the solid lifters.
