help me w/stereo install, Sin, please' 1989

Sorry about the delay. But ever since I got my 98' Maxima SE 5 spd, my attention between this board and Maxima boards has been split. Also, my two previous attempts to post, caused my recently unreliable computer to crash.

Okay . . . let's see here . . . alright.

What brand deck did you get?
When you say "an adapter to change to another stock Volvo unit", do you mean switching from one oe Volvo deck to another? If not, please clarify.
When you say "cd player", do you mean external, or in the deck?
And is the amp you are referring to a Volvo oe amp, or an aftermarket amp?

If all you want to do is change the deck, and keep EVERYTHING else stock, you'll need to purchase an adapter. The best place to look is the shop you bought the deck at, or a GOOD auto-audio shop. If you still can't find it, get in touch with the company that made the deck. The will almost DEFINETLY have the adapter. These adapters are usually plug and play.

If you have the oe system with an oe amp, you'll need to get creative with the wiring. I haven't done this before, so I'm not very sure how it would be done. If you don't care about using the external oe amp, it should be pretty easy.

After you reply to this post, I'll have a much better idea of what you are trying to do, and I should be able to help you out better than in this post.
