thinking about buying S40-V40

240DL is a great car no others car can be any better we have 2 off them in the family... one with 400,000 is the 1983 model 270,000 for 1987 model still going strong..

stay way from the V-40 we have 2000 V-40 with 17,000 on by brand new and nothing but problem....lemon car..

We also own a 1994 850 Turbo with 130,000 on is great car but only if you do all the work yourself others wise the dealer will kill you...
if you know nothing about car do not buy 850 model...

240DL is a great car that volvo have ever built

What to look for ??? nothing offer them $3500 than if they said no move up to $37500 ...

To be safe you can always have car inpsection before you buy at independen volvo shop they cost around $60 but will be the best $60 you ever spend.

it call "Inspection to buy" they will know what you mean it take less than 1 hours but yu will have to arrange to get the car there with the owner

But me will buy it see how it run any thing stanger ?? noise varbration ??

when you going down on the high way take your hand out from the streering whell

see if it pulling to on side ?? if do you need whell aligment...

look under the hood see if the paint job inside the engine comparment matching with the out side paint ?? if not this could mean the car have been in accident.

look for any leak under the car oil ??

look inside if it look nice and clean mean the owner have been taking care the car....

good luck.... I think you are making the 150% good choice buying this car...

I know you will love this slow but very solid volvo

hope this hepl
