Reading Spark Plugs 850 1995

I swapped out the cap rotor and wires at about 78K (when i put in the autolites) car now has about 85K (I used volvo oem parts)
and it runs well at high speed - the only carbon is on the base of the threads, so I'm wondering (now more than before) if it's a cold start rich condition that I can adjust at all. It's set no codes...
