Other than the fact that you have a 850 turbo just waiting for you to get legal...I'll refrain from the lecture about my first car, a 1971 Datsun 510, that I bought with my own $....man I AM an old fart...I'm jealous!
Here's the options:
1) Someone drive the car once a week or so. I mean at least 20 minutes at hwy speed. This should keep the battery OK, but if not a smart charger. Use synthetic oil and change every 6 months after one if the 20 minute drives.
2) I think a better option is full blown covered storage in a dry garage. Battery removed, car on jackstands, car washed, dried and waxed, all exposed metal coated with a metal preservative, fresh synthetic oil and coolant in engine, cylinders oil fogged, sparkplugs removed and screw in preservative indicators (Griot's)...get that Volvo storage publication as well.
Oh, it's only a year.....but either way use a GOOD fuel preservative.
