I am surprised by that, too. I guess that means that Volvo will be endorsing, from now on, Castrol motor oil, etc. Well, since I have been into researching motor oils, lately, I have seen many different studies where Castrol Syntec has outperformed Mobil 1 despite the fact that their base stock is petroleum based rather than a man-made material. I always thought that Mobil1 was "it" when it came to the mass-produced, commercialized synthetic lubricants but I have found out that Pennzoil synthetic and Castrol Syntec have done much better. I just (mentally) have a problem in paying the same for a petroleum based synthetic as another synthetic oil but, again, if it does the job...
