I have 46K on the original pads on my T5 (manual transmission)
and they are 60% worn. My wifes 855 gets new pads every
30K miles. Difference is manual vs. automatic transmission and
the fact that her car sees more city driving. So, the milage
can vary. You have to visually inspect them to really determine
wear. Note that there is no wear indicator like some pads have
(where they squeek when you get near the end of life).
I believe a generall rule is if the pads are about as thick as the
metal backing plate (5mm) it is time to replace them.
Also, rotors last about as long as 2 sets of pads (the rotors
were actually measured to be undersize before the 2nd set of pads
had worn out (on our 855), but it is a good general guide).
