Hi Charle3,

First of all have you cleaned the Throttle body out ? This can be done by undoing the small torx screw on top of the black couling. If it get clogged up behind there they may cuase your problem to start with.

Next clean and through away the flame trap that is then located in a small hose behind the air intake. It will breath better with out it and is a servicable item that gets clogged up.

The fuel filter should go max 40k miles i change mine about every 25 to 30k miles.

Next depending on your milage replace the rotor and cap always a good investment either way and through some new spark plugs in if you can afford it at once.

If you then reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery overnight and reconnect the ECU will relearn your driving style and then you can check the error codes if there are any.

hope some of this helps.
