Its not worth the trouble!! I finally got mine off, but guess what, thats right, you have to get it on your new motor!! And its just as tough!

I imagine you got a new motor from a parts place, and they can not get a new cage. You have to get OEM to get the cage and motor together. Really its about even as far as cost goes +/- $10. I ordered mine from Volvo of Houston (used to be Nils). Great prices, easy to work with.
