Hi Jeff,

I would change the antifreeze every 2 years at a minimum. The Heat of the Engine destroys the antifreeze over time. This causes the antifreeze to become acidic thus eating holes in the aluminum. When you see a dark grey like color in the antifreeze this is dissolved aluminum.

I recommend that you flush the transmission every 15k miles as well.
