Jay - Why is your engine compartment extremely dirty? A lot of dirt is often a sign of a problem.

I would address that before I got all excited about cleaning up.

Is it oily? Dusty? I once looked at a nice 740 wagon that had evidence of being cleaned, but I could see black gunk all around where the cleaning was not effective. I later found out that the dealer had to put $1300 into it, at his cost, to fix the AC.
