I have recently purchased a 2001 V70, it is a beautiful and lovable car. The major faults in this car is the embedded software requirements of many accessories and systems, the lack of a Maintenance Manual and the unknown marriage to the Volvo service department. This is quite unsettling. I have always serviced the family motor pool, and would like continue with the ever changing sophistication of todays autos. Volvo's insurance policy of keeping repair work in the dealer shops is one to cause much controversy in the upcoming years, as warrenties expire. Thank you Volvo for reducing my work load on the my V70 to changing light bulbs. MWP
