HELP with 'Check engine light fix' recall notice S40-V40 2001

Hi Volvo s40/V40 users,

I see that the problem with the engine light is quite common in your part of the world. If you have the same problem and you have received a recall notice could you tell me exactly where are you from? I live in Holland where Volvo S40/V40 is produced (about 5 miles away from the factory), and I've got the biggest lemon ever. One of the problems is appearance of the engine light intermittently. When read on the computer in the garage, it shows different codes. Once the light was on for a longer period of time and they fixed something in the garage for it to dissapear. After the car stayed for almost two weeks in the garage, they said there was not any problem to fix. Since than we had the engine light on with a different code. Most of the time they just delete the codes after reading them and let you go until the next one appears without any explanation. I wish we had lemon laws in the Netherlands.
After reading about the recall notice "Check engine light fix" I have tryed to find more information on the internet about it, but so far without any success. Was that an unofficial recall notice? I would very much appreciate it if any of you would give me more details about the recall. Would it be possible for you to scan the document so I can show it to my lawyer who is representing my case?
This is only one of the many problems we had and still have with the car.
Please, please, HELP!
