waxing vs polishing

Gee thanks RD ;) I've been surfing that site and reading for the past few hours. Now I know more about "detailing" than I ever wanted to know. I'm gonna have to spend time on this, phooey. Look what you've gotten me into: I'm going have to buy special car washing equipment; I'm going have to buy shampoos and waxes and polishes and vinyl sprays and stuff for retouching tiny scratches; I'm going to have to something about swirl marks that I had never noticed before.

Okay, so maybe it won't be so bad. It'll probably also be good for the car. I'll notice stuff and take care of it before it's a big problem or starts to rust.
