I also had the windshield replaced due to the "bulleye" chip then long crack (3 years later). I chose the Volvo windshield with the Volvo logo etched on the windshield. Along with the logo were the approval labels from Europe. My car is 1995 model, and the replacement windshield was 96/97 model with the glued upper rubber trim. My insurance willing to pay 100% for aftermarket windshield but for Volvo original, they only paid half. I paid $200 for the windshield and installation on my driveway.
The first guy didn't put enough adhesive/sealant on the passenger side and hence wind noise @ highway speed. The installer fixed it on the second try after the test drive @ highway speed.
