Getting back to cost vs. performance again, having the "R" ECU with rated 240HP and stock exhast as a refence point, to get to the rated 275HP I need the ECU $900 and cat-back $700 for a total of $1600 for only 35HP gains. That works out to be about $46/HP.
10HP for the cat-back, is that with or without ECU upgrade? That would probably be only 5-6HP without. This will make the cost per HP even greater.
I'm just rambling right now but these are significant expenses and something to think about. If I had only a T-5 ECU with 220 rated HP, this would look more attractive but with the R ECU things looks less attractive. I'm sure that the power and torque curves are better with the upgrades but how much better? Thats a subjective call and everyone will have their own opinions...
I'll start with custom built cat-back and take it from there...
