I do believe that MY POINT originally here was to say that smoking tires IS abuse, proves NOTHING (it's LOSS of traction, the car isn't moving) AND mostly doing that type of abuse with THAT transmission, I can assure you that problems will soon follow if you continue. Will it be covered by your warranty then? Maybe not.
It's not my car nor my problem WHEN it goes so do whatever you'ld like but I do not treat my machinery like that.
I chose to comment because one of my major turn-offs here has become reading all the "my POS Volvo....", "the F'in' dealer....", "F'in' VCNA....." and after I saw what you're doing to that car, I can be assured that it won't be long and we'll all see you posting similar threads about your BAD Volvo experiences.
If you choose to drive the car respectably instead, you could be one who might have better experiences so that's my "heads up" to you. It's your car (or so you say).
