Auto Dual Climate Control plastic faceplate S70 1998

I think your dealer is mistaken. Checked with my parts dept. today. Auto climate control (or ECC) face plate is available. Part #9171639 for celcius, 9171640 for farenheit. They are pricey for what they are. List price $141-150 US.
