Glad to hear that fixed it.

Also, you mentioned caliper slide pins. That's another weak spot in the sliding caliper design. If these aren't properly lubed, the caliper can stick rather than retracting away from the rotor and end up wearing down one pad and one side of the rotor more.

Good practice is to CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN the caliper on EVERY brake job. What makes these stick is when the grease gets fouled up with all the brake dust. Once you've cleaned, relube with SYNTHETIC CALIPER GREASE (the Volvo stuff that you smear on the pad backing plate works well). This keeps them sliding smoothly and helps insure good, smooth braking.
