Struts & Sway Bars 850

Here is how I remember it....

The strut goes through the rubber mount, then there is a large 3" washer thing, then a regular washer then the bolt on top of the strut. As long as all these pieces are tight then it's all right. .

If you can rotate the large 2-3" washer thing then there is a something is either not installed correctly, or is not tight. If it is tight to the rubber strut mount then it's OK. The large 3" washer thing is a backup safety in case the rubber strut mount fails. If the rubber fails then the 3" washer keeps the strut from pulling back into the tower ans keeps the suspension working, but with a telltale KLUNK when you go over a bump.
