Yeah, $40k is a lot. you can do like my mom and buy a used 99 Range Rover for $37k and still have $ left over to spend on your kids:) Start saving now, a k each, to a new volvo 240 turbo when they turn 16, just make sure it's turbo. They'll like it, good and reliable cars that can hold up when u get hit at 30 mph and nothing happened to my car. So with that, don't get the XC90 now, wait till it goes down in price, like three or four years.
