ipd's ecu isn't too bad. only reason i got it over others was no need for soldering on chips. plus ipd has a solid reputation. u definitely feel it...especially when the turbo hits. with the stock, i feel it's a flatter torque plateau...there is a slight peak around 4000 rpm with ipd's ecu...
must be a new sts. my dad's old 93 sts (still 295 hp, not 300 hp) was said to be 7.0 sec 0-60 mph. it felt so heavy and porky on the twisties, but u can light up those front all-season tires easily...with no hint of torque steer. i think that's the only fwd i've ever driven that doesn't have torque steer. really cool also was the front suspension had a stock strut bar and the front lowers when u hit 60 mph (or was it 70 mph) for aerodynamic reasons. my dad said it's worth US$700 dollars in taiwan...no one wants a porky caddi in the little streets. coming from a volvo...i still like the older sts's edgy design, a little more stately...gotta luv it when u slam the brakes, that huge row of red comes up =)
