The liability of ANYONE who works on your Volvo (or anything else for that matter) is limited by your ability to catch the person again!
I have a friend who purchased an solar hot water system that was guaranteed for life. When the system failed the first winter, he found that he was dealing with the New England subsidiary of this well-known manufacturer, and THAT company was bankrupt. Their system could note cope with our winters. I think that he was out $5,000.
A life time warranty means the life of the product, or perhaps the life of the entity that provided the product.
NO ONE is responsible for their work unless they choose to be.
I AGREE WHOLE-HARTEDLY WITH YOU TJ ABOUT THE POTENTIAL FOR OVERHEATING.
My suggestion is ventvisors - but NOT the ones that go inside the window channel.
