Query on timing belt/aux failure 850

First, sorry to hear that.

This is a second post I read about the belt failure in 2 weeks or so. Work done either by a dealer or a reputable indy shop. I'm wondering if we can at least avoid the shops that don't do good work by comparing notes. I started a new thread 'Compilation...?' just a few minutes ago.

I'm not saying the dealer didn't do it right, or an accident couldn't happen. I don't feel I know enough about cars so make such claim just reading posts, but at least we can keep an eye out for common problems per shop...
