Oh no! not another dash noise! S70 1998

Well, it appears I had a two part noise. The first, and loudest, part was not the part you mentioned, but a small wire (I presume a ground of some sort, as it's all metallic and braided and such) that goes from the top rear of the engine block to, I believe, a bolt/nut on the firewall next to the little horn thingy that hangs up there(what is that anyway?). Somehow (or someone more likely) that wire had come loose, so I removed the nut, replaced the wire, and tightened the nut down. Time for a test drive! Noise is all but gone... weird, so I'm gonna go in again and check out the piece you were talking about, but I need to know, is it something I should be able to see without removing the turbo heat shield? I didn't seem to notice anything obvious. I'd consider myself rather mechanical, but I'm just not experienced enough yet with this, or any, car to be able to find all these specific parts.... (I'm only 18, got my first car when 16). Well, thanks again for the tip!
