I do not have an answer to your question, but you might be able to give me advice.
ON SRS ARNING LIGHT.
My car: 1993 850GLT
My SRS waning light is on now after replacing Odometer. I followed the VOLVO service manual that went through removing passenger side SRS plug (after disconnecting battery cable).
After putting back all parts in, when I started engine, the SRS warning light came on. I did not touch anything else.
Q1. How does the system know that I disconnected the plug from SRS housing since the battery was disconnected?
Q2. Does the SRS system check is done every time, I start my car? If so, I would expect the light to go out (i.e., working)
Q3. (Same Q as Q2) Once the system detects the fault, does the light stay on until the code gets cleared manually or by scanner?
Q4. If the answer to Q3 is true, can I reset the light as you describe in the web site?
Thanks very much.
