Won't start 850

Take out the battery and give it a full overnight charge.Then if it holds a good charge then the battery is probably ok.I belive that there have been some previous posts about faulty voltage regulators on the alternator.

Just a point of interest: You can check the alternator by using this meter that surrounds the positive wire to the battery, and by measuring the electric field it can work out the battery charging current.(you may be able to borrrow one for a friend or garage)

Also another test that can be done is to leave the car running and place a voltmeter across the battery terminal.it should read about 14v when that battery is being charged.

Hope these suggestion work.
