Who should be doing the 'right thing?!' 850

AMEN TO THAT!!!!
I agree with you 100%. My indie mechanic said he doesn't know how Volvo HASN'T been sued over the evap problem. During the summer he said he replaces at LEAST one evap every week in an 850 series car.
I honestly don’t know why people defend Volvo on this issue. I’ve been a member of this board for years and every year during the summer this board is like a broken record with people with A/C problems, myself included. I really think Volvo should take some kind of responsibility for this problem. I know it will never happen though, can you imagine the amount of bucks they would have to shell out to people that have had this problem???!!! My car alone has gone through 3 evaps and the 3rd one is leaking now, I will be replacing it myself come spring.
Well that’s my opinion, I’m sure we’ll hear from people that think it’s crazy to blame Volvo for the problem (I’ve seen it in the past). They will usually mention how they are on their original evap. Usually failing to mention that they live in Alaska or in Arizona where the air is bone dry (Actually, I’m sure there are people that are on their original evaps and live in hot and humid climate, but I’m SURE they are the minority).

I also want to mention that I am a huge Volvo fan, so this statement comes from someone who takes an active interest in their past, present and future vehicles.
