How do you break in to a Volvo?

There are several holes in the door jam with gromets in them.
I suspect the gromet came out. I've used the holes to lubricate
the door locks. If the hole is painted then it came that way
from the factory.

At a Volvo dealer I saw a woman lock her keys in an S70 while the
engine was running. A tech was called. He got it open in seconds
and did not have to use any power tools. I think he used some sort
of a slim-jim device. In this case, the alarm was off and did not sound
(the engine was running). I think if the alarm was set, the technique
the tech used would have sounded the alarm.

Volvo theft rates are pretty low in the U.S. But, I hear they are
a favorite target in the UK. Isn't that strange?
