I'm pretty sure they're tossing you through a loop. Somebody should be able to get teh code for the radio via the serial number. If they don't do it, go somewhere else. That's almost as bad as the one I heard about a dealer not only not changing somebody's oil, but also keeping all their oil to use elsewhere!

Did the radio work before you took it in?
