I haven't heard any beeping from mine. FWIW, I find the ACC system to be wacky at best. I've read here that the small pyramid on the dash, in addition to being a mount for the alarm led, is a solar detector and will signal the fan to blow harder or softer. Can't verify this but my fan does seem to have a mind of it's own at times.

On anything but mild days when I just want a little AC or heat I find I'll run it in manual mode. I haven't looked into it but if my system ever croaks I've thought about replacing the head with one from a manual system.
