If the credit card doesn't work, you should...
1) remove the unit
2) unplug all the cords from the back (remember which one belongs where)
3) ...and basically play around with it (indoors). I remembered removing some screws that had to do with the removing of the CD magazine and everything worked.
I had the same thing happen to me when I put a CD-R disc in there. The disc wouldn't eject and everytime it tried to, it seemed like the disc was slipping. My theory is that some of the CD-Rs have too smooth of a surface on top and this doesn't allow the CD to be removed. Maybe it's also the horizontal design instead of the vertical kinds in the trunk. If everything works out and you have a rear trunk CD changer, I would advise you to use the rear for CD-Rs and the front for original CDs.
