Thank you Carl!, I guess I'll have to make a(much dreaded) dealership apppointment and hope for the best.

oh, I am just curious as to why I have a "check engine light" in addition to the message center and it isn't illuminated ? I was under the impression that if a DTC was stored that the check engine light would illuminate as well? is that true ?
