Keyless Entry Problem 850 1997

I took Bob's advice:

I opened the remote using a very thin flat blade screw driver to pry around the edges. On one side of the circuit board there are small "patches" upon which the buttons press. I used a Q-tip with light alcohol to clean them thoroughly (there was A LOT of grunge---the culprit). I then used some canned air to blow the side of the circuit board which has all the goodies on it. Reassembled. Worked like champ.
