Winter Volvo

Sorry but I dissagree with your assessment. You asked them to change the filter, they did so and now you're upset just because you think it should be free. I think any other business would do the same. That filter is not a warranty covered item so Volvo will not pay for it.
Now, if you want to know what they did warranty wise, did you call your service writer and try asking for specifics? I can't imagine why he (or she) wouldn't explain what was done when asked.
